VALEDICTORY CEREMONY OF ABIRAMI PHYSIO CARNIVAL 2024
On the auspicious evening of July 20th, 2024, the MVS Mahal resonated with enthusiasm as Dr. R. Jayabharathi, organizing chairman, hosted the illustrious Abirami Physio Carnival 2024. This grand intercollegiate sports meet, under the patronage of Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, drew participation from 25 esteemed physiotherapy colleges across Tamil Nadu.
The event commenced with the resonant strains of Tamil Thai Vazhthu, evoking a sense of pride and unity among the gathering. Dr. P. Periyaswamy, Chairman of Sree Abirami College of Physiotherapy, then delivered a poignant presidential and welcome address, setting the tone for an evening dedicated to sportsmanship and camaraderie. This was followed by insightful addresses from Dr. R. Senthil Kumar and Dr. P. Balamurugan, luminaries in the field of physiotherapy, whose words inspired both participants and spectators alike.
The highlight of the evening was the presence of the honorable Chief Guest, Dr. K. Narayanasamy, the Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. His address underscored the importance of sports in the holistic development of physiotherapy professionals. In recognition of his invaluable presence, Vice Chancellor Dr. Narayanasamy was honored with a memento and bouquet, symbolizing gratitude and respect from the organizing committee.

At the pinnacle of the evening, the much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony unfolded. Nanda College of Physiotherapy emerged as the overall champion, showcasing its exceptional skills across multiple disciplines. KG College of Physiotherapy secured the runner-up position, further enriching the evening with their remarkable achievements.
Dr. R.
