In a world where substance abuse is a growing concern, educational institutions play a pivotal role in educating and empowering students to make informed choices. Recently, our college organized a Drug Awareness Program, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and fostering a culture of prevention and responsibility among our student body.

The event commenced with esteemed guest speakers, Mr. Krishnamoorthy, Inspector, and Mr. Ilavendhan, Sub-Inspector, sharing their insights on the societal impacts of drug abuse and the importance of proactive measures in combating this issue. Their expertise in law enforcement added depth to the discussions, resonating deeply with the audience.

Under the solemn notes of a prayer song, Mr. Prem, Professor from the Pharmacy Department, extended a warm welcome to the audience, followed by inspiring words from Dr. Arvin Babu, Dean of our institution. Their presence set the tone for the event, emphasizing the significance of such initiatives in nurturing responsible citizens.

Throughout the program, students from various departments showcased their talents in spreading awareness. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students delivered a captivating mime performance, depicting the physical and mental toll of drug addiction. Additionally, students from Allied Health Sciences (AHS) presented a poignant short film, shedding light on real-life scenarios and offering solutions to prevent substance abuse.

The event concluded with remarks from Dean Sir and the Pharmacy Principal, reaffirming the college’s commitment to promoting a drug-free campus.
